Family Support Groups
Al-Anon/Alateen
To help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Similarly, Alateen is a recovery program for young people. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members.
Families Anonymous
Families Anonymous is a 12-step, self-help, recovery and fellowship of support groups for relatives and friends of those who have alcohol, drug or behavioral problems.
National Association for Children of Alcoholics
A national, nonprofit membership organization working on behalf of children of alcohol and drug dependent parents. Advocates for all children and families affected by alcoholism and other drug dependencies.
Adult Children of Alcoholics
A 12-Step program of women and men who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes who meet to find freedom from the past and ways to improve today.
Nar-Anon
Nar-Anon is a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend. Nar-Anon’s program of recovery is adapted from Narcotics Anonymous and uses NA?s twelve steps and twelve traditions.
