Alcohol and other drugs are a major contribution to the cause of brain injury. Evidence also shows they can seriously interfere with the recovery process of a brain injury. Educating survivors of traumatic brain injury, family members and substance abuse providers is very important to the recovery process. This workshop will inform participants how substance abuse and brain injury go hand in hand, how the person with a TBI can fall through the cracks and how to address the complexities of this issue. |
