Perinatal Substance Use Project Coordinator

The Alcohol and Drug Council of North Carolina is recruiting to fill the position of Perinatal Substance Use Project Coordinator. The position provides education, information, advocacy and referrals relating to perinatal substance use to the general public and professionals. The position interfaces with the State Department of Health, the Division of MH/DD/SA, service providers and the ADCNC. The Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of a state wide data base, responding to information and referral calls, training to local health departments, and participation on relevant state wide work groups.

The ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in a health or human service field, at least two years of supervised experience in the field of addictions with specific expertise in best practices for treatment of pregnant and parenting women and services for their children.  The position requires strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skills.  The position entails a great deal of travel including overnight
