Advanced CBT for Problem Gambling

This is a six hour workshop, which provides advanced knowledge about how to understand problem/pathological gamblers utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral approach. This workshop will provide assessment tools to comprehensively understand the distortions the gambler has about gambling and money. Participants will learn to identify levels of distortions and the appropriate treatment intervention response. In addition, the presenter will offer information on how to complete a financial assessment with the problem gambler. The workshop will include lecture, video presentation, small group discussion and role-playing intervention to achieve learning objectives.This program will also be offered in 2009 at SEAHEC, Southern Regional, and Northwest AHEC sites.
