Training Opportunity
Rights and Responsibilities of Tenants with Disabilities
This training will focus on the rights and responsibilities of tenants with disabilities under Fair Housing laws, including Reasonable Accommodations, and NC Landlord-Tenant Law.
This training is free and open to the public, targeted to self advocates and service providers. 
No certificates will be offered at these trainings. 
Additional trainings for landlords and property managers will be forthcoming.
 
•       Raleigh: August 26, 2008, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Wake County Commons Building; 4011 Carya Drive, Raleigh, 27610
•       Durham: August 27, 2008, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Durham Center; 501 Willard Street, Durham, 27701
•       Rocky Mount: August 28, 2008, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Beacon Center; 500 Nash Medical Arts Mall, Rocky Mount, 27804
•       Mount Olive: August 29, 2008, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Hennessee Room at Mt. Olive College, 634 Henderson St., Mount Olive, 28365.
 
Presentations will be conducted by staff members of Legal Aid of NC, Pisgah Legal Services, and Disability Rights NC.
Due to room limitations pre-registration is required, and closes a week before each event.
