Center to Host the 2008 Public Policy Forum for North Carolina’s Nonprofit Sector

Centerfor Nonprofits is hosting the 2008 Public Policy Forum for North Carolina’s Nonprofit Sector on March 27 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Brownstone in Raleigh. The Forum will provide an opportunity for beginning and experienced nonprofit advocates to learn about public policy and connect with nonprofit and government leaders from around the state. We’re particularly excited to present the Forum with the Candidates for Governor, where the candidates will share their visions for issues of importance to nonprofits. The Forum also will include advice from state legislators, a town meeting for N.C.’s nonprofit sector, and sessions on beginning advocacy, strategies for the legislative short session, election-year issues, and using the media to amplify your advocacy.
